Board members and administrators participate in Read Across America

Cypress Fairbanks ISD Board members and administrators joined the National Education Association (NEA) in the annual Read Across America celebration by reading children’s books to various elementary school classes. The readers visited classrooms during the first week of March, corresponding with Dr. Seuss’ birthday on March 2.

Board Secretary Tom Jackson read to students at Holmsley, Fiest, Andre’, and Copeland elementary schools on March 4. While several other CFISD representatives read at the corresponding elementary schools on Read Across America Day:

• Teresa Hull, associate superintendent for governmental relations, communication, and chief of staff – Emmott
• Roy Garcia, associate superintendent for school administration and leadership development – Willbern
• Dr. Linda Macias, associate superintendent for curriculum and instruction and accountability – Holmsley
• Harold Rowe, associate superintendent for technology and school services – Danish
• Donna Guthrie, assistant superintendent for elementary school administration – Holmsley
• Karen Smith, assistant superintendent for business and financial services – Moore
• Dr. Ashley Clayburn, assistant superintendent for school improvement and accountability – Swenke
• Christina Cole, director for employee relations and professional staffing – Holmsley
• Andrea Kuhn, assistant director for professional staffing – Holmsley
• Rose Odell, secretary to the assistant superintendent for school improvement and accountability – Reed
• Karen Golsch, secretary to the coordinators of school improvement and accountability – Warner
