Cy-Fair, TX (October 12, 2015) - Moore Elementary School first-grade student Shourya Chawla says he can’t live without cars, robots or books. A recipient of the Best Student in Class award, the gymnast and dance enthusiast plans to be a scientist when he grows up.
School: Moore Elementary School
Accomplishments: Best Student in Class award; scores 100 out of 100 on most class tests.
Favorite class: Mrs. Brockermeyer’s class, “because I love the way she teaches me.”
Favorite things to do after class: Gymnastics, dancing, cycling, playing Hoover Hockey and watching TV.
Favorite song: Anything by Yo Yo Honey Singh
Favorite website: IXL.com. “I practice on it and feel like playing.”
Favorite TV show: Curious George. “The monkey is too innovative and funny, and I learn good things from him.”
Favorite movie: Transformers. “I like robots.”
Ambition: “I want to become a scientist, because I love to do science experiments and read about science.”
What topics/things are you passionate about? Cars, robots, dance, running and cycling.
What inspires you? “I am most inspired by things I face and work through in my daily life.”
What three things can’t you live without? Cars, robots and books.
What are you most looking forward to this semester? “I am looking forward to learning more and more about new things, punctuation and vocabulary, science experiments and geometry.”
