ACT Grants May 17 Makeup Day for CFISD Students

Posted April 26th 2016

Cypress, TX (April 26, 2016) Due to flooding and subsequent school closures that resulted in cancellation of the April 19 ACT assessment, ACT officials have agreed on Tuesday, May 17 as an alternate test date for CFISD.

Although the ACT’s official make-up day is May 3, the college admissions testing company granted the alternate May 17 date to avoid a May 3 conflict with Algebra I EOC and AP tests.

“The district has committed to students and parents to administer this important assessment free to all 11th-grade students,” said Dr. Ashley Clayburn, assistant superintendent of school improvement and accountability. “We thank the ACT for working on an alternate assessment date to best accommodate our college-bound juniors.”

Contact your high school testing coordinator for more information about the ACT assessment.
