Cypress Ranch’s One-Act Play Season Ends at Area

Cypress, TX (April 8, 2016) The Cypress Ranch High School production of Haymarket Eight concluded its competition season in the UIL One-Act Play Area contest on April 7 at San Jacinto College’s Central campus.

Haymarket Eight, which was the last remaining CFISD production in contention, was named an alternate to the UIL Region III One-Act Play contest.

“It was another outstanding performance at area,” said Cheryl Bradford, Cypress Ranch theatre director. “Although the road to state is over, placing as an alternate ranks Haymarket Eight as one of the top 28 UIL 6A One-Act Plays in Texas. Congratulations on a great run to the entire company of Haymarket Eight.”

Cypress Ranch senior Joshua Edwards was named to the All-Star Cast, while junior Grace Whaley was named to the Honorable Mention All-Star Cast.

Cypress Ranch earned Best Technical Crew honors, represented by Samuel Haygood, Cole Yates, Meghan Sizemore, Cole Andrews and Blake Dalton. Dalton was named Best Technician of the production.
