Cypress, TX News – Corner Store Donates $5,000 to Cy-Fair HS During Grand Opening

Cypress, TX News (May 21, 2014) - The Corner Store No. 1487 capitalized on its grand opening at the 14004 Telge Road location on May 15 by presenting a $5,000 check to Cy-Fair High School.

Cy-Fair principal Mike Smith accepted the check from Corner Store No. 1487 manager Lori Countz and CST Brands area manager Atalissa Vaughn, zone manager William Hoyt, and senior vice president Pete Linton.

Smith said the $5,000 would go into the Cy-Fair band activity account.

“We are happy to welcome the Corner Store to our community,” Smith said. “We appreciate the generous gift they gave to our school.”

The Cy-Fair band attended the grand opening and played songs to generate excitement for the event. Cy-Fair Houston Chamber of Commerce president Leslie Martone and vice president Paula Harvey were on hand to conduct a ribbon cutting.
