Cypress, TX News – Cy-Fair Student Saves Young Child’s Life

Cypress, TX News (February 3, 2014) – Hopper Middle School seventh-grade student Izrael Williams displayed an act of heroism in December when he helped save a life. Williams was in his yard when he noticed that his neighbor, a 6-year-old girl, was in the street in the path of an oncoming car.

Realizing that she was going to be hit by the car, he jumped into action and pushed her out of the way. Although Williams fell to the ground and scraped his face, he saved his neighbor from being hurt. “The Hopper staff is very proud of Izrael for his selfless act,” said principal Wendi Witthaus. “Izrael really exemplifies what it means to be a part of the Hopper team.”
