Cypress, TX News – Cypress Ranch Football Players Donate Time to Habitat for Humanity

Cypress, TX News (August 7, 2014) – Approximately 20 Cypress Ranch High School football players and five parents from the team’s Moms of Mustangs (MOMS) Club came together to work on the Habitat for Humanity Northwest Harris County ReStore house in Hamill Crossing Neighborhood on July 26.

The MOMS Club organized the volunteer event at Hamill Crossing, a neighborhood consisting solely of Habitat for Humanity homes.

The students and parents helped put trusses atop the roof and performed other projects in and around the house, which will go to a local family at an affordable cost.

“It is great to see our football athletes and MOMS Club pair up to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity,” said Cypress Ranch assistant football coach Blake Besselman. “We have been looking for a variety of ways to inspire our community to give back. The reward is seeing these boys turn into young men with the values and dedication our program strives for every day.”
