Attendees enjoyed complimentary archery lessons from Kay Gaido of The Bow Zone and a live demonstration on geocaches from Mike Howlett, Precinct 4’s resident expert with the Parks Department.

Now open to the public, the quarter-acre range includes 10 lanes reaching from 10 to 50 yards, a berm, shed, picnic tables, and nearby parking area located on the park’s east end.

With the opening, Precinct 4’s park system now features two archery ranges including one at Carter Park in Spring.

Both of the ranges are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Precinct 4 amenities are part of Commissioner R. Jack Cagle’s educational and recreational commitment to Harris County residents. For more information on Precinct 4 parks, call 281-353-4196 or visit www.hcp4.net/Community/Parks.
