Cypress, TX News – Newmark Begins Sales in New Stonebrook Estates

Cypress, TX News (June 2, 2014) - Newmark Homes has begun presales in Stonebrook Estates, an environmentally sensitive enclave in a sector of northwest Houston that has seen little new-home activity in recent years.

The 54-acre gated community is located along Spring Cypress Road east of State Highway 249 in Cypress. It is being developed by Randy Jones with Terra Visions, LLC.

“Stonebrook Estates borders a stretch of Spring Cypress that has seen no new-home construction for nearly five years,” said Jeff Dye, Newmark vice president. “With the opening of a new section of the Grand Parkway, the timing is right to introduce a new-home community to the area.”

Newmark Homes has started presales in Stonebrook Estates, a new gated enclave in Cypress near a section of the Grand Parkway opening next year.

Newmark is the exclusive builder in Stonebrook Estates, which will have 135 70- and 80-foot homesites. Newmark’s pricing begins in the $400,000s for homes on 70-foot properties and from the $450,000s for homes on the larger homesites. Two model homes are under construction and should open in August.

Stonebrook Estates is one of the first communities in the Houston area to use a three-tier stormwater filtration system endorsed by Harris County to cleanse sediment, bacteria, and a variety of other pollutants from the water before it reaches community streams and bayous.

“This naturalized stormwater management system, which uses native vegetation for bio-filtration, creates a healthy environment within Stonebrook Estates and provides permanent benefits to downstream plant and aquatic life,” Jones said.

Houston-based Newmark experienced a banner year in 2013, with home sales 31 percent greater than the previous year. The company expects the record-breaking sales to continue as it broadens its presence in a number of Houston-area master-planned communities and moves into several new developments this year, Dye said.
