Cypress, TX News – Rosehill Christian School Students are Touchdown Club Winners

Cypress, TX News (February 10, 2014) – From among all 3/A public schools and all private schools in the greater Houston area, the Touchdown Club of Houston awarded Rosehill Christian School the 2014 – 3A/Private School Sportsmanship Trophy.

This prestigious award was selected by the Texas Association of Sports Officials (TASO), Houston football chapter, who are the refs covering the high school games in the greater Houston area. The award was based on six criteria: 1) Actions of the team, 2) Action of the coaches, 3) Actions of the support groups at games, such as parents, band and cheer squad, 4) Respect for the American flag, 5) a score based on the number of personal fouls incurred during the game, 6) a score based on the number of unsportsmanlike conduct fouls.

Coach Ryan Anthony summed up the award by thanking those on the team and all others associated with Rosehill Christian School. “I am particularly thrilled to be the coach of such fine young men who represent the Lord on and off the field.  This award epitomizes the Rosehill journey and how it affects every aspect of the school.”
