Fireworks Display Draws Thousands to Towne Lake

Towne Lake, a Caldwell Companies residential community in northwest Houston, recently hosted its fourth annual Fourth of July Celebration on the banks of its 300-acre recreational lake. The free public event attracted more than 10,000 people, including many residents who enjoyed the fireworks display from their private docks and boats.

The evening’s entertainment included magicians, balloon artists, face painters, inflatable bounce houses, and train rides. Local band Sound Advice played a variety of tunes, and a male quartet sang a beautiful a capella version of the Star Spangled Banner just prior to the start of the fireworks show.

“We were excited to bring back our popular Fourth of July Celebration this summer to show appreciation for this great country and the men and women serving it,” says Kent Puckett, General Manager of Towne Lake. “The events at Towne Lake truly help us establish a sense of community. Towne Lake is a great place to raise a family, and the amenities found here promote active, outdoor lifestyles.”

In the weeks leading up to the event, Towne Lake encouraged attendees to enter to win a prize package, including a private lake tour aboard the community’s boat and VIP seats to watch the fireworks display on the water. The Lara family, from the surrounding area, won the prize package and attended the event.

“We had a fabulous time at the Fourth of July event at Towne Lake,” says Raquel Lara, grand prize winner. “The boat ride, live music, food and even the small treats on the boat, added to the experience. My husband and I are looking for a community and were surprised by how much Towne Lake offered.”
