Four Softball Teams Advance in Playoffs

All four CFISD softball teams won their Region III-5A bi-district playoff matchups and will advance to the area playoffs this week.

Cy-Fair High School defeated Alief Taylor, 20-0, in its one-game series on Monday. The Bobcats will meet Memorial High School in a best-of-three series at Morton Ranch High School (21000 Franz Road) in Katy:

  • Game 1 will be on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at Morton Ranch;
  • Game 2 will be on Friday at 6 p.m. at Morton Ranch; and
  • Game 3, if necessary, will be on Friday at 8 p.m. at Morton Ranch.

Cypress Falls High School beat Aldine, 11-0, in a one-game series on Friday. The Golden Eagles will face Bellaire High School in a best-of-three series:

  • Game 1 will be Friday at 6:30 p.m. at Cypress Falls High School (9811 Huffmeister Road);
  • Game 2 will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at HISD’s Butler Stadium (13755 S. Main Street); and
  • Game 3, if necessary, will be 30 minutes after the conclusion of Game 2 at Butler Stadium.

Cypress Woods High School unseated Aldine Nimitz, 10-0, in a one-game series on Friday. The Wildcats will match up with Cinco Ranch High School in a best-of-three series:

  • Game 1 will be Thursday at 7 p.m. at Cinco Ranch High School (23440 Cinco Ranch Blvd.);
  • Game 2 will be Friday at 7 p.m. at Cypress Woods High School (13550 Woods Spillane Blvd.); and
  • Game 3, if necessary, will be Saturday at 4 p.m. at Cinco Ranch.

Cypress Lakes High School defeated Aldine MacArthur in a best-of-three series over the weekend, winning Game 1, 11-0, and Game 2, 7-2. The Spartans will face Seven Lakes High School in a one-game series set for Friday at 7 p.m. at Cypress Lakes High School (5750 Greenhouse Road).

Tickets for each game will be sold at the gate for $5.
