Jersey Village Water Polo Teams Place at State

The Jersey Village High School boys’ and girls’ water polo teams each placed among the top five teams at the Texas Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association (TISCA) Water Polo State Championship in Southlake on Saturday.

The Falcon boys lost a close matchup in the state title game to finish as state runners-up, while the Falcon girls finished in fifth place.

First Team All-State honors went to Chris Ellis and Kyle Falke on the boys’ team and Liddy Schoelman on the girls’ squad. Second Team All-State honorees were Chase Miller for the boys and Kayla Allen for the girls. Honorable Mention All-State winners were Mason Burk for the boys and Jenny Cary and Alex Mindiola for the girls.

“I am incredibly proud of the way both the boys and girls played at the state tournament,” says Jersey Village coach Stuart Webb. “I look forward to building on this experience, and hopefully returning to compete for the state title in the near future. It’s a great day to be a Falcon.”
