Jersey Village Wins Video Contest for Second Consecutive Year

Cypress, TX (March 3, 2016) Jersey Village High School seniors Alex Thompson and Huy Tong’s video was named the High School winner in the 2016 Celebrate Texas Public Schools Video Contest, sponsored by Randolph-Brooks Federal Credit Union (RBFCU).

The award, which was announced during the Texas School Public Relations Association (TSPRA) annual conference in Horseshoe Bay on Feb. 24, was Jersey Village’s second straight win. Claire Wineman’s video won the 2015 contest.

RBFCU representatives presented CFISD communication department representatives with a check worth $1,250 for Jersey Village High School.

“I am so proud of JVTV students Alex Thompson and Huy Tong for winning the state CTPS video contest,” said Cindy Stoker, JVTV director. “Their hard work, innovative cinematography, and storyline about Jersey Village High School shines through this video.”

The 1-minute video followed the CTPS contest theme, “Public Education: A Texas Tradition,” by sharing the history and traditions at Jersey Village.
