Cypress, TX (May 23, 2016) The Langham Creek High School baseball team defeated Cypress Ranch High School, 2 games to 1, in a best-of-three regional quarterfinal series to advance to the Region III-6A semifinal round this week.
The Lobos won Game 1, 3-2, while Cypress Ranch responded with a 3-0 win in Game 2. Langham Creek won the third and deciding game, 8-6, on May 21 at Premier Baseball of Texas.
“[Cypress Ranch is] a good ball club,” said Langham Creek Head Coach Armando Sedeño. “We played ugly at times and pretty at times, but that’s the way baseball is. Baseball is a game of opportunity. We were persistent and when we had the opportunity we made something happen at the end.”
