Smallcakes Houston, a gourmet cupcakery that recently opened on F.M. 1960 between North Eldridge Parkway and Fallbrook Drive, is working with Cy-Hope to donate cupcakes at the end of the day to children and families visiting the organization’s Hope Centers. Cy‐Hope is a local non‐profit dedicated to bringing hope to kids who are economically, relationally or spiritually disadvantaged. The centers are located in apartment complexes and trailer parks where kids can come for tutoring, life skills classes, Bible study, sports, games, and mentoring.
“As Cy‐Fair residents, giving back to the community is important to us,” says Nadia Saqr, co‐owner of Smallcakes Houston with her husband, Sam. “We bake everything fresh daily, so if there are any cupcakes left at closing time, we donate them to Cy‐Hope for children and families to enjoy. It’s just one way we can say ‘thank you’ to our neighbors and friends for supporting us.”
Donations from Smallcakes Houston will be delivered to Hope Centers currently located in the Longhorn Trailer Park and Windfern Trails Apartments. The cupcakery bakes 15 signature flavors fresh every morning, including pink vanilla, lemon, red velvet, caramel crunch, and birthday cupcake and offers custom cakes and other baked goods.
