Lance Armstrong Foundation selected Liz Hansen, a Cypress native, to serve as a fall 2012 intern.
Hansen, daughter of Paul and Sharon Hansen, graduated from Texas State University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in communication design. She was previously an intern for HMG Creative in Austin, a creative web design and brand development firm. At the Foundation, she assists the marketing department with the development and design of Foundation graphics, collateral and event materials.
The Foundation offers non-paid internships to students and recent graduates interested in gaining experience in a nonprofit setting. The fall intern class consists of interns from across the world. Interns work directly with an employee at the foundation in the following areas: Shared Services, Development/Fundraising, Programs, Government Relations/External Affairs, and Marketing. Interested applicants should complete an intern application at www.livestrong.org.
