The MET Partners with CFISD’s Bleyl Through School Supply Drive

Cypress, TX (August 29, 2013) – The Metropolitan Baptist Church, (The MET), partnered with Bleyl Middle School for a school supply drive prior to the start of the 2013-2014 school year.

Members from The MET dropped off three 10-gallon tubs filled with school supplies—including folders, binders, paper, glue, markers, crayons, pencils, pens, dividers, computer paper and highlighters—for Bleyl students.

Representatives from The MET initiated a CFISD partnership by donating school supplies to Bleyl Middle School students while donating $3,000 to bring the Rachel’s Challenge program to the school.

The church also donated $3,000 to the school, which will be used to bring the Rachel’s Challenge assembly to Bleyl this fall. According to Bleyl director of instruction Colette Maxwell, Rachel’s Challenge will equip students to make positive choices, create a positive chain reaction of kindness on the campus and continue to support the school’s quality culture.

“We are truly thankful and blessed by The MET’s support and commitment to Bleyl Middle School,” Maxwell said. “Their partnership continues to positively impact the lives of our students, our campus and the community.”
