Towne Lake, Caldwell Companies’ northwest Houston community connected by water, was recently named the 2012 Master Planned Community of the Year by the Greater Houston Builders Association (GHBA). The community was recognized at the GHBA’s Houston’s Best PRISM awards ceremony, an annual celebration of Houston’s top builders, developers and decision makers in the building industry.
The organization named Towne Lake the Master Planned Community of the Year because of its design, amenities, landscaping, quality builders, number of homes sold, and its focus on keeping its community connected by water. PRISM finalists and winners are described as making the Houston area the best place to live, work, and call home.
“We are thankful that Towne Lake has received this prestigious award, as it is affirmation of the decisions made by many to make Towne Lake their home,” says Fred Caldwell, president and chief executive officer of Caldwell Companies. “From the project’s inception, our entire team and development partners have strived to develop an extraordinary community and outstanding place to call home for residents and businesses. The combination of a fully recreational lake and waterfront living, matched with Houston’s most reputable builders and convenient amenities, work together to create a differentiated lifestyle for residents.”
Towne Lake also took home top honors for Community Entrance of the Year for its newly constructed entrance at Barker Cypress and Tuckerton Road. The entrance features massive rock waterfalls, hills, streams, and matching native landscaping with dramatic views of Towne Lake.
